Pray for China (Jan 5-11, 2026)
Systematically and Strategically Interceding for All of China
Each week I share short profiles about which places to pray for in China each day. Included in each introduction are links to more resources about the city and province to which it belongs. Follow me on X (@chinaadventures) to receive reminders each day.
*Scroll to the bottom for my explanation of how I decide which cities to pray for daily.
Also, on the China Compass podcast I usually try to mention the unique places targeted for prayer that week, along with any helpful information or stories that come to mind.

Hunan (literally: “south of the lake”) is paired with both Indiana and Ohio for prayer. For more about Hunan (incl. my podcast): https://prayforchina.us/index.php/hunan/
*Remember that today in China, thousands of pastors will continue to be detained/harassed/persecuted for faithfully leading their flocks. (Hebrews 13:3)*
Sun, Jan 11 - Pray for Jiangdu District, the most populated in Yangzhou Prefecture, in east China’s coastal Jiangsu Province: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiangdu_District
Jiangsu is paired with Tennessee for prayer, due to its east-central location + number of counties. For more info (incl. a podcast): https://prayforchina.us/index.php/Jiangsu/
*Beginning in early 2024, I began working through each of China’s 31 provinces/regions once per month (on shorter months I skip a smaller, less-populated province), highlighting one new place per day, starting with the most populated in each province. More than a year later, I continue working my way down through each province’s prefecture/city list by population (greatest to least). The goal is to eventually pray for every prefecture, city, and county in China, the vast majority which the average western Christian has never even heard of.
